“I think I have both perspectives on Colorado... that of a native and that of a transplant, because I'm both. I was born here, but I've been away long enough that a lot has changed,” says Beckie Bean in answering a question at the lips of many Coloradans.
Although born in Colorado, she spent a number of years in Chicago earning her MBA with a dual degree in Marketing and Business Management from the University of Illinois - Chicago. After experiencing growing dissatisfaction with her role in corporate management, Beckie fulfilled a lifelong dream of working in real estate.
“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been interested in houses. When I was six, my parents built our first house and that sparked a lifelong interest,” she says. Facilitating that jump into real estate is Beckie’s focus on business ethics. “I figured once I got my MBA, I could be a change-maker, but I realized that until I was in charge of my own business, I couldn’t affect change the way I wanted to.”
One of the reasons she was most attracted to the Peak Properties Group is the firm’s team environment strong focus on ethics. “Everyone is really, really friendly and helpful. We’re not an ‘air quotes team.’ I felt it from the moment I walked in for my interview.”
Now largely in charge of her own destiny at the Peak Properties Group, Beckie ensures her clients are taken care of at every step of a real estate transaction process that can feel very daunting and overwhelming for them. “Sometimes I feel like I’m part Realtor, part counselor.”
As a client, you may need more than just a savvy professional to walk you through it. You also need a trusted advisor and someone who will ensure you’re feeling confident, comfortable, and looked after throughout the process.
“I don’t look at being in business like ‘how will we make the most money?’ I don’t believe in that,” Beckie emphasizes. “It’s a way to impact change societally, through being an ethical business leader and treating your clients the way you’d want to be treated yourself.”
Having realized her dream of working in real estate, Beckie is working every day to help her clients realize their dreams.
