“How much time do you have?” This is Roger’s response to the question, “What do you like to do?”
Roger’s interests are diverse and numerous. They include learning about new cultures, languages, travel, the outdoors, tennis, volleyball, soccer, skiing, hiking, biking, remodeling his home (which he’s done on his own to all of his previous homes), cooking, numbers and word games, and singing karaoke. When he’s not working, you can find Roger pursuing one of these passions.
But what he dedicates himself to most, is real estate. Why? “Because working in real estate helps people to be happy,” he says. “I always want to leave people in a better state of mind than I found them. No matter the client, I treat every deal as if I’m buying the property myself.”
Roger has been in real estate for more than a decade, and joined the Peak Properties Group in late 2014. Roger’s experience is substantial, which he’s supplemented by dabbling in investment properties as well. He’s done a number of flips, and he’s always got his eye out for new opportunities. That gives Roger a nuanced and comprehensive view of the real estate process that not everyone has.
For Roger, one of the most appealing aspects of the Peak team is how close-knit it is. “Peak is a very tight team,” as he explains. “Whereas in other offices you can be called a team, but still be competing against each other. Peak is a family. There’s always someone to answer questions and provide help whenever you need it.”
Despite this volume of experience, his approach with every client remains the same, however. “I listen more than I talk,” he says. Listening is the only way to match each person to the property they want. And after listening, Roger then gives his best service and best advice to make that happen.
Listening is, after all, the only way to learn as many skills as Roger has. Whether he’s helping clients find their dream home, learning a new skill in the renovation of his own home, working on a new language or honing his ability in one of the sports he plays, you can bet Roger has his ears open.
